At Spiers Estates, we specialise in comprehensive carbon capture consultancy services, focusing on carbon sequestration through native woodland and habitat restoration. Join us in our mission to create a sustainable future.
John Spiers is a Chartered Management Accountant. He grew up on a hill farm in Powys, Wales. He studied at the Royal Army Pay Corps School of Management and later obtained a qualification in Molecular Science from the Open University.
He began his career in Defence Procurement before moving to Asset Finance in Lombard Business Finance and Farm and Agriculture Finance.
A keen naturalist since childhood he became interested in soil conservation techniques used to restore the Oklahoma Dust Bowl at an early age, extensively studying the works of the US Soil Conservation Service.
He has a passion for woodland creation as a means of diversifying income for farmers via carbon credits and is actively acquiring land in Scotland for his own schemes.
Implementing strategies for carbon capture through native woodland, enhancing biodiversity and contributing to climate change mitigation.
Reviving ecosystems through strategic habitat restoration projects that support local wildlife and improve ecological health.
Soil conservation and prevention of rill and gully erosion a priority. Topsoil is too valuable to see it wash away.
We promote sustainable practices that contribute to a greener environment and mitigate climate change.
